Comparative Literature Doctoral Candidate Pearl Lee has just published a chapter in an edited volume on renowned contemporary Chinese author Yan Lianke. Her essay, “Corrective Catachresis: Capitalist Mystification Derailed in The Explosion Chronicles and “The Story of Fertile Town,” in The Routledge Companion to Yan Lianke, ed. Riccardo Moratto and Howard Yuen Fung Choy. Other authors are internationally renowned scholars of Chinese literature from all over the world, and Pearl finds herself in fine company.
