Iida Pöllänen Twice Recognized for Teaching Excellence

Congratulations to COLT Ph.D. student Iida Pöllänen, who has been recognized with the prestigious Graduate Teaching Excellence Award!

The Graduate Teaching Excellence Award is designed to recognize outstanding teaching performance by experienced graduate employees (GEs) who have demonstrated a commitment to developing their instructional skills, while at the same time excelling in their academic degree program: https://gradschool.uoregon.edu/funding/awards/graduate-teaching-excellence-award.

This is not the first time Iida has been recognized as a skilled, creative and thoughtful teacher. She received the Dan Kimble First Year Teaching Award at the start of her graduate career: https://gradschool.uoregon.edu/funding/awards/kimble-first-year-teaching-award.

Iida is hard at work giving the final polish to her dissertation, which she plans to defend this spring. We hope this deserved recognition helps put wind in your sails, Iida. And thank you for your brilliant work with students in COLT!
