Sunayani Bhattacharya, who received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature in Winter of 2017, has accepted a tenure-track assistant professorship in English at St. Mary’s College in Morago, California (near San Francisco). Dr. Bhattacharya’s dissertation, directed by Prof. Sangita Gopal, is an original study of the birth of the novel in nineteenth-century Bengal.
