Andréa Gilroy operates and curates Books with Pictures, located at 99 W. Broadway, Suite C, in Eugene. The store was recently featured in the Register Guard as one of eight local business that are flourishing despite the Covid pandemic. The store features new comics and graphic novels, with a special focus on books that cater to women, children, and the LGBTQ community. Andréa earned her doctorate in 2015 with a dissertation titled “Origin Stories: Narrative, Identity, and the Comic Form.”
